From April 28th to May 1st 2022 the National Youth Championships (U23) in sabre were held in Bucharest.

Club Riposta was represented in both the men’s and women’s competitions.

Radu (“Champ”) Nițu managed to win the gold medal after defeating CS Dinamo’s representative Marco Șovar 15-8 in the final.

The other two representatives of CS Riposta were placed 13th (Alexie Alupei) and 24th (Teodor Chiriac) respectively.

In the team competition, CS Riposta (Alexie Alupei, Teodor Chiriac, Michael Ene, Radu Nițu) finished 6th.

In the women’s team competition, Riposta (Theodora Alexandrescu, Rosemarie Benciu, Mihaela Chițu, Ilinca Pantiș) won the club’s second medal at the competition, bronze, after defeating CS Dinamo 2 45-31 in the small final.

In the women’s individual event, our athletes finished 5th (Ilinca Pantiș), 9th (Mihaela Chițu) and 19th (Rosemarie Benciu).
